What are my Goals?
Now that we are a month into the new year, I find myself wondering... What now? What are my actual goals for this year? What are my New Years Resolutions as some might say. I have had the month to ponder these questions and I think I some-what have an idea of how I would like to plan the future out.
I would like to start by saying I want to expand my Social Media more. I know that I need to get more consistent with my postings, whether it is on Instagram, Facebook and even TikTok. I am starting to figure out what content my followers like the most, so I will start to focus more on that kind of content. I know I also need to get back on my weekly blogs. Whether they are about our Sunday drives, or whatever is on my mind. Taking you all along with me is one of my top priorities for this year.
I am sure any photographer would all agree in saying that an every year goal is selling your work. Late last year I started small and started selling some prints on Facebook. That was going very well to begin with, but I know I need a better, and more efficient way of selling my work. I am very confident in where my photos are, and I want to get them out into the world more. As of this blog, I am in the process of getting my website set up to be able to sell my prints that way. I also know I need to be brave and see if I can put some photos up for sale at some local businesses. For some reason, I feel more comfortable trying to sell on Facebook then I do in real life ha. I know I can do it, I just need to pull the trigger. I need to start selling work to fuel my Alani and Dots Pretzels addiction ;)
One other thing that I have been talking about doing for a long time, is doing a Calander. I have always loved the idea of doing something like that, so this year I am ready to spend most of the year taking photos in preparation for said Calander.
Above all, my biggest goal and dream is to be doing this gig full time. I have loved working my 8-5 for the last 6 years. I have been though a lot personally throughout these years, my co-workers have been very loving and giving in my times of need and for that I value them very much, and I hold them dear to my heart, but I am also ready to start a new. With both of my kiddos going to school full time, I am ready to start spending my days exploring and photographing anything and everything.
